One dollar can transform lives! Dollar A Day (DAD) scheme involves investing a dollar every day, towards the cause of facilitating higher education for children from government-run schools in rural Tamil Nadu.

Deep in the hinterlands of Tamil Nadu, hidden away in tiny villages or towns, lies a huge potential! There are thousands of deserving students, hailing from under-privileged backgrounds, yearning for a way to enter college. They’re intelligent, hardworking and ambitious but the only thing that stands between them and pursuing a college degree that will pave way for a better life, is lack of money.

Agaram received more than 42,000 applications so far, but could support around 2000 students. This is only 5% of the population, increasing the wide gap that exists between school and higher education. With a dollar a day, you could change that!

How does it work?

This sustainable system involves a dollar being deducted from your account, which will be used to help expand Agaram’s scope of operations. Your dollar could go a long way in helping in meeting the foundation’s expenses in realising the dreams of thousands of students from rural Tamil Nadu.

The fund will help Agaram’s various initiatives that involve supporting a student’s higher education fee, as well as other logistical components such as lodging, mess fees and facilitate overall development programs and workshops for the students, during their education.
